By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Eatreka.
Eatreka is a personal ledger for recording restaurant meals and tracking which countries' cuisines you have tried. It is provided free of charge. It is a hobby project run by one person — not a business with a support team or an uptime guarantee.
You must be at least 13 to use Eatreka, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping access to it secure. One person, one account — don't impersonate anyone else.
Your entries, notes and photos are yours. We claim no ownership of them.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, show it back to you, and — where your own privacy settings make something public — display that part to people you share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Only upload photos you have the right to upload. Tagging another account as a companion notifies them but does not reveal your entry to them.
Don't use Eatreka to:
upload unlawful content, or content you have no right to; harass, impersonate or target anyone; attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours; scrape, automate or hammer the service, or work around its rate limits; or deliberately upload malicious files.
Fair-use limits apply (currently five photos per entry and thirty per account) and may be adjusted; we'll tell you in the app if they change materially.
Restaurant names, addresses and locations come from Google's Places API and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Which country a cuisine "belongs to" is your own choice when logging — Eatreka makes no claim about the origin or authenticity of any cuisine, and the country list follows UN membership purely as a practical, neutral reference.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties. It may be unavailable, change, or be discontinued. Please keep your own copies of anything important — you can export everything at any time from Settings → Your data.
If Eatreka were ever to shut down, we would aim to give reasonable notice so you can export your data first.
You can delete your account at any time; doing so permanently removes your entries, photos and records. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or its users at risk.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data or content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Since the service is free, any liability is limited accordingly.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
